Producing the manuals into the LinkOne format

Fenten also offers services to produce technical documents and to transfer documents into an electronic format. We will prepare the spare part manuals of devices and plants in an electronic format. We take care of transferring files, converting them into a format used by LinkOne, gathering material and generating it into distribution-ready manual libraries.
We transfer your paper-based spare part manuals into the LinkOne format by scanning the images and transferring the spare parts lists into the text format used by the software. We are able to do the file translation work, in which case the customer is left with finalizing the manuals only. We can also produce the entire manual to be fully ready with minimum interaction from you.

Internet hosting service

We can place the electronic manuals of your company on an Internet server, take care of updating them, and make sure that they are always available. The LinkOne spare part, service and use manuals are especially very well-suited for Internet distribution. With the LinkOne software, doing updates is relatively simple.
Making orders through the Internet is increasing all the time. We can offer solutions to help transfer the spare part trade into the Internet. Your customers can do the order either directly from the LinkOne software by clicking on the spare part rows or from a separate form shown on top of the browser. The approved orders are transferred via Internet either directly to your order processing system or to a format you desire, to a server of your choice.

Programming service

We can do customer-specific programming projects to automate document production. Together with the customer, we go through the current system, map the needs, and customize a software package according to the customer’s needs.
Programming projects can be related to transferring spare part manuals or other manuals from the current system to another system, to producing LinkOne material from another system (like PDM or production management), or to making orders via Internet or e-mail. The tools we use are Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C, Access, SQL Server, and Oracle.

XML consulting

The use of XML in technical documentation is increasing with speed. The benefits are indisputable: faster and more precise process to publish manuals, less errors, easy modification – in short, cost savings in documentation and a better service to the users of the manuals.
